The Edale Valley is a brilliant place to stay with children of all ages. There are plenty of shorter walks for little legs or proper adventures for those old enough to climb mountains, swim in waterfalls or scramble on rocky outcrops. There is wildlife to spot, bilberries to pick, sticks to collect, paths to follow and paddling a-plenty, plus two family-friendly pubs and two cafés full of cake within an easy walk from your cottage.
We love having children to stay in our cottages at Rowlands Farm, and make a special effort to make their Edale adventures exciting. We have 28 acres of fields for them to explore, including a large, sheep-free picnic field with stunning views – perfect for summer picnics, family games or night time star-spotting. And, of course, our two children are a fount of knowledge when it comes to the best places to build dens, dam streams or find the perfect picnic spot.
