Smith Cottage is the larger of our two cottages, with a superking galleried master bedroom and a twin / kingsize double. What makes it really special though, is the stunning view of Kinder Scout from the enormous, full-height barn door, which you can enjoy from the cottage's cosy sitting room or while having a lie-in in the bedroom upstairs. Guests in the second bedroom are just as lucky, with French doors onto their own terrace and more wonderful views to enjoy.

Downstairs, as well as the sitting / dining room, Smith Cottage has a well-equipped kitchen and a stylish bathroom, with bath and separate shower (there's a second cloakroom upstairs too).

Comfort is the name of the game in both our cottages, with squidgy sofas, quality mattresses, cosy down duvets and wonderful 200-thread count cotton bed linen. Light and airy in the spring and summer and the perfect retreat from colder climes in autumn and winter, Smith Cottage is a fantastic Peak District bolthole all year round.

A stay in the Peak District is all about the outdoors of course and guests at both our cottages have plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air and marvel at those views. Each cottage has its own front outside area with bench and BBQ, but guests also have access to our very special 4-acre private picnic field with 360-degree views of Kinder, Mam Tor and the whole of the Edale Valley.
